CPHFW has become one of the most influential fashion weeks outside the big four, known for its sustainability requirements and for turning the whole city into a venue. That is its charm and its logistical headache. A typical day might start at a show in a harbour warehouse, move to a showroom in Indre By, include a lunch presentation in Frederiksberg and end at an after-party in Vesterbro, all in February, when it’s dark by 17:00 and the wind off the harbour is sharp.

Hotels in Indre By and Vesterbro sell out around fashion week, and so do cars. We recommend booking chauffeurs in November or December for February dates.

- The schedule is tight and scattered. Venues change each season and are often in former industrial buildings on Refshaleøen, Nordhavn or Papirøen, where taxis don’t wait and ride apps struggle after a show empties.

Arriving for fashion week
Most international guests fly into Copenhagen Airport the day before the first show. Airport arrivals spike on 31 January and 1 February, and taxi queues at Terminal 3 grow accordingly. Book a meet and greet transfer and your chauffeur will be waiting in arrivals, tracking your flight. Brands bringing in models, stylists and PR teams can have them met by a coordinator and moved in V-Classes or a Sprinter. See group transfers.
Getting around: venue areas and drive times
- Indre By (old town): showrooms and presentations; cars can’t stop on Strøget, so we use side streets.
- Refshaleøen: former shipyard with large event halls; 15–20 minutes from Indre By.
- Nordhavn and Østerbro: harbour venues; 15–20 minutes.
- Bella Center / Ørestad: trade fair venues; 15–20 minutes from the centre, 10 from the airport.
- Vesterbro and the Meatpacking District (Kødbyen): after-parties and dinners.
