Long-distance car hire with a driver takes you door to door between Copenhagen (or CPH Airport) and any city in Denmark, southern Sweden or northern Germany, at a fixed price per car that includes bridge tolls, VAT and comfort stops. Popular routes: Malmö (35 min), Odense (1 h 45), Aarhus (3–3.5 h), Billund/Legoland (2 h 45), Aalborg (4.5 h) and Hamburg (about 4.5 h via the ferry).
Denmark is small, but its geography of islands and bridges makes long journeys more complicated than the map suggests. Trains involve changes and platforms, domestic flights involve airports at both ends, and renting a car means tolls and one-way fees.
