Since the 2018 Taxi Act, anyone driving paying passengers in Denmark, whether taxi, limousine or chauffeur, must hold a chauffeur licence issued via the Danish Road Traffic Authority (Færdselsstyrelsen). The requirements include a clean driving record, a criminal record check, a medical assessment and passing a specific training course and exam.
